WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
1. A very clear full-face photo of the person. (High resolution, jpeg, if emailing. Or post the photo to us)
2. A list of all the things you'd like in the picture.
3. The size picture you would like.
4. The date you require the picture by.
5. Your contact details (Name, phone, postal address, email address)
6. When you have accepted our Quote, we require a 50% deposit please, and final payment is due upon you receiving your picture.
EMAIL - You can email your instructions and the photos to us at Doc@McDonaldHarley.com. Please send the photos in jpeg format, high resolution.
POST - If you don't use email, then posting the photographs to us is fine, and we'll be sure to return them to you. (P.O. Box 6070, North Goulburn NSW 2580 Australia)

Remember - you're not locked into the sample sizes/prices above. These sizes are our most popular requests, but we'll do whatever you need. Some people want whole football teams done, so we work with the customer to suit their budget.
$100 extra for each additional person featured. (Remember, each Additional main person featured represents another couple of days of drawing) ... Here are samples featuring "two" people, in "Unlimited-Detail" Cartoon Portraits. All the items in the pictures are taken from photographs of their actual environment.

PACKAGING & POSTAGE - FREE for unframed pictures - We won't charge you for postage, except for pictures that we frame for you. Sending a large framed package, within Australia, usually averages around $30.
Some background information regarding how the picture develops:
Doctor Jay doesn't use clip art. If you ask for someone to be sitting on their motorbike, for example, it will be their motor bike, not a clip art-type or generic cartoon bike. When you are comparing our prices with other artists, be sure to weigh up what you receive for your money.
The picture is printed on the highest quality Fine Art paper which increases its longevity and quality. This is outsourced by us to a professional Art printer, who also laminates the picture in a lovely invisible silky laminate. Alternatively, we can frame the picture for you.
A Cartoon Portrait (featuring 1 person, with lots of background detail) takes about 30 hours to draw. A second person featured in the picture adds another couple of days to the drawing time. Doctor Jay's pictures are carefully developed straight from the image Doctor Jay forms in her head after having received all the instructions from the customer. She does not do rough sketches and does not do drafts. She says to her customers "Trust me. I'm a doctor!" (The exception to this is advertising or logo designs, which of course involve drafting ideas and designs for your approval).
You will receive a highly personalised quality picture that will last a lifetime.
The frames we use are basic, and include a matt border. If you are wanting a ritzy professional-quality frame, then we recommend you organise this.
If you're ordering a picture for a gift for a special occasion, why not consider asking other people to join you in giving the gift?
For framed items that need to be posted, we use perspex instead of glass.
You'll also receive a complimentary electronic (cd) copy of your Cartoon Portrait. Some customers choose to use this image to make their own letterheads and other fun things.
